Calgary is world-famous for its winter sports. Jason, however, has chosen a rather more enjoyable kind of open-air recreation.
His Arena Red Metallic Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet belongs to the 993 generation—the final air-cooled evolution of the 911 and, to many enthusiasts, one of the finest shapes ever to leave Zuffenhausen.
Even standing still on a rain-darkened Calgary driveway, this car has real presence. The deep metallic red shifts beautifully in the light, while the roof-down profile, classic five-spoke wheels and wonderfully compact proportions demonstrate why the 993 has aged so gracefully.
Arena Red Metallic will always be closely associated with the launch era of the 993 Turbo. On Jason’s Carrera Cabriolet, however, it gives the car a slightly softer and more elegant character—particularly with the roof lowered and the clean original silhouette left to do the talking.
A subtle 7mm stance adjustment
Jason recently contacted us from Calgary, Alberta, and ordered a set of our silver PSR9Line 7mm flat-disc Porsche wheel spacers.
At 7mm, the objective is not to transform the car or overpower its original design. It is a fine adjustment: bringing the wheels outward slightly for a more settled, purposeful stance while preserving the factory character that makes a 993 so special in the first place.
Our Porsche spacers are machined from billet 6061 aluminium and anodised for corrosion resistance. They are made to the Porsche 5x130 PCD and 71.6mm centre-bore specification, with the 7mm version using a slim flat-disc design. As with any spacer installation, the correct-length wheel bolts and full clearance checks are essential.
Once fitted, the silver spacers will sit discreetly behind Jason’s classic wheels. They are not intended to become the visual attraction; their job is simply to help the wheels sit where they look most at home.
From South Yorkshire to Calgary
PSR9Line may be based in Thurnscoe, South Yorkshire, but Porsche enthusiasm has never paid much attention to borders. Seeing our parts selected for a cherished air-cooled 911 more than 4,000 miles away is precisely the kind of connection that makes this business enjoyable.
