Installation Overview; Install only to a cold engine, locate the charge pipe duct, remove the duct fastenings at both ends & remove pipe. Clean the mating surfaces, and fit the new seal, to ensure it is seated cleanly with not twists or pinches. A light smear of grease over the new seal will help fit it smoothly & cleanly into position. Refit the charge pipe ducting and torque the fittings (if applicable) to BMW Spec. Check for any obvious air leaks by running the engine and feeling for any escape of air at the connections.
