The essential component for completing your airbox resonator delete conversion on the Porsche 996 and 997. This precision-machined aluminium bung plug seals the resonator port in the air filter housing cleanly and permanently, allowing you to open up the full surface area of the filter and increase available airflow by up to 25%.

Machined from high-grade aluminium and hard anodised for a durable, corrosion-resistant finish — a significant step up from the plastic alternatives on the market. Fits flush and secure with no modifications to the airbox required.

The resonator delete modification is well documented in the 996/997 community for improving mid-range throttle response between 3,000–6,000 RPM, with the added benefit of a more pronounced induction note — similar in character to a mild sports exhaust, while retaining the original intake system.

• Porsche 996 Carrera (naturally aspirated — excludes Turbo & GT2/GT3)
• Porsche 997 Carrera (naturally aspirated, pre-2008 — excludes Turbo, GT2/GT3, and 997.2 DFI models from 2008/2009 onwards)

Not suitable for: 996/997 Turbo, GT2, GT3, or Porsche 997.2 models fitted with Direct Fuel Injection (DFI) engines from 2008/2009 onwards.
