There is only one reliable way to confirm whether your car requires a dual or single row IMS bearing: remove the gearbox and visually inspect the flange. Build year guides, forum advice, and even dealer records can be misleading — the only certainty is what you can see with the gearbox off.

Please do not order this kit speculatively and have it waiting on the shelf before you have confirmed which bearing your car has. Ordering the wrong kit causes unnecessary delays and frustration for everyone involved. If you are not in a position to confirm the bearing type before purchase, we strongly recommend waiting until you can.

IMS bearing replacement also requires specialist tools. If you have any doubt about the job or the specification required, please consult a qualified Porsche specialist before proceeding.
